What is this?

Learn how to create a universal note-taking system using mnemonic techniques, worldbuilding, and cartography principles. All using pure fun!

• Instead of taking notes, how about discovering unexplored land?
• Instead of a Zettelkasten, what if you're creating entire universes with your words?

This is the basis for the Personal Ontologies and Perceptions System (P.O.P.S.), helping you build a list of note-taking principles through personal ontologies, subjective perception, and active imagination.

• Develop a note-taking system using your own internal world. Build up natural interlinking habits with personalised mnemonics.
  • Use elements of worldbuilding, articulation, and memory techniques to make a system of notes truly yours.
• Build your system with lore uncovered in your inner self, and create an imagined world that only you can understand.
  • Through this, you digest the perceived, real-life world infinitely and effectively.

What You Get

• You will get a basic understanding of the required principles, perceptions, and decision-making processes behind building this personal system.
  • Essentially, we're going to build up the different entities that make up your life, figure out a framework for deciding whether or not to jot something down, recognise it as a separate entity, and so forth.
• You will learn how to create your note-taking system: Not a zettelkasten, not a PARA, but one that fits well with how your brain works. You take the best of the best and develop it to your own style.
• You will learn how to iterate this system for note-taking using your imagination. This involves imagining its structure from the ground up, and scaling it as we go along.
• You will create an Internal Graph Language (IGL) system that is unique only for you. This becomes the glue to hold all of the above together.
• Get examples from my system, where I map out notes like a blacksmith's forge in my inner world of kingdoms and castles.

Note: This entire handbook is a Step 1. All of it is. But what I'm sharing with you here is all that you need to know to make an effective Step 1, for the rest of it is building your own personal lore. Until then, here is some guidance and hand-holding. I'll use my own lore as an example, so you can develop your own.
